  • Study: Urgent CV Patients in Rural Areas Have Higher Mortality Rates Than Those in Urban Areas

    Older adults presenting to rural hospitals with urgent cardiovascular conditions, such as acute myocardial infarction (AMI), heart failure (HF) and ischemic stroke, were less likely to receive important therapeutic procedures and experienced higher 30- and 90-day mortality rates than their urban counterparts, according to new research.
