  • Inorganic Nitrate Consumption Improves Outcomes in Patients at Risk for Contrast-Induced Kidney Injury

    Contrast-induced kidney injury and cardiac events at 12 months were reduced in heart attack patients who were given dietary nitrate—these patients were angiographically observed to be at risk of kidney injury – and kidney outcomes were also improved at both 3 and 12 months, a new study shows.
