  • Study: ‘Residual Effects’ of Redlining Show in Present-Day New York City Stroke Prevalence

    Even though the racially discriminatory housing policy known as redlining ended more than 50 years ago in the U.S., a new study released Wednesday found an association between areas of New York City that were redlined and increased stroke risk among present-day residents, even after controlling for other social determinants of health (SDOH).
