    Transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) of the mitral valve plus maximally tolerated guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT) in patients with severe functional mitral regurgitation (MR) continued to show a significantly lower rate of heart failure hospitalization or all-cause mortality than GDMT alone through 5-year follow-up, new results from the COAPT trial show.
