An algorithm-based approach used among an interprofessional vascular care team to decide upon lipid management for peripheral artery disease (PAD) patients proved more effective in achieving rapid low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) targets vs. current “usual care” over 1 year in the OPTIMIZE PAD-1 trial.
