  • Self-Expanding Valve Clinically Noninferior, Functionally Superior to Balloon-Expandable Valve at 1 Year in Women: SMART Trial Analysis

    Women with small aortic annuli who underwent transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) with a self-expanding valve showed similar clinical results and significantly better valve function through 1 year as compared with those whose procedure involved a balloon-expandable valve, a new analysis of the SMART Trial shows.
