Patients with high thrombotic risk (HTR) are at increased risk of future cardiovascular events, even when fractional flow reserve (FFR) is negative, according to new data that back the use of thrombotic risk scoring as an additional prognostic value.
The study, published online Monday and in the Feb. 28 issue of JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions, noted that deferral of revascularization on the basis of FFR is generally considered to be safe.
