  • Female BAV Patients Undergoing TAVR Have Worse In-Hospital Outcomes than Men Despite Fewer Comorbidities – Chinese Study

    Women with bicuspid aortic valves (BAVs) undergoing transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) presented with fewer comorbidities, type 1 BAV, lower calcification and smaller aortic roots than men, yet men had better in-hospital outcomes and comparable 1-year survival, according to a new single-center Chinese study.
