Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) could feasibly become an outpatient procedure for some low-risk patients, according to the authors of the observational multicenter PROTECT TAVR study, who found that same-day discharge (SDD) was safe for 124 highly selected individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic.
