  • ARIC Analysis: Abnormal Left Atrial Measures Predict Higher HF Risk, Regardless of LV Function

    In a large cohort of older adults free of prevalent heart failure (HF), abnormal measures of left atrial (LA) structure and function are associated with increased risk of incident HF or death at long-term follow-up, regardless of measures of left ventricular function and NT-proBNP, according to a new analysis of the ARIC study population.
