There is no significant difference in adverse events and outcomes between angiography-guided complete revascularization (CR) of non-culprit stenosis and fractional flow reserve (FFR)–guided CR in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and multivessel disease, according to a pooled analysis of 11 clinical trials.
The meta-analysis, published online Monday and in the March 28 issue of JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions, analyzed data from more than 8,000 patients in 11 randomized controlled clinical trials to investigate the efficacy and safety of FFR–guided versus angiography-guided approaches for non-culprit stenosis in STEMI and multivessel disease.
