  • AMI-CS Patients Enrolled in RCTs More Likely Received PCI, ECMO vs. Those in Registries

Trials also enrolled higher percentages of male patients

Among patients with acute myocardial infarction-related cardiogenic shock (AMI-CS), randomized control trials (RCTs) enrolled lower-risk patients with fewer women, and the patients were more likely to receive percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), in comparison with patients enrolled in the registries, according to a new analysis from a systematic review.
