  • Periprocedural Myocardial Injury and Coronary Artery Disease in Patients Undergoing Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement

    Abstract

    Background/purpose

PPMI and CAD are common in patients undergoing TAVR. Despite several studies evaluating their interaction as well as the influence these factors play on outcomes, there remains no consensus. We sought to evaluate the impact of peri-procedural myocardial injury (PPMI) and incidental coronary artery disease (iCAD) on outcomes in patients undergoing transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).
