I have been asked to give a talk on the subject of “The Future of Interventional Cardiology.” Funny you should ask someone who knows a lot about the past but is unlikely to participate in much of the future. It reminds me of the old hag fortune teller who predicts with confidence the future but is not around to be responsible when it does not turn out that way. Nonetheless, I must give this talk, and maybe fellows or even a more pertinent group, those considering interventional cardiology, will be interested in the musing of this soothsayer.
