Third-generation DES have been shown to be more prone to such complication due to the decrease stent strut thickness, but such complication has been also demonstrated to be less detrimental with third -generation than with first or second generation DES . In case of failed retrieval, crushing against the vessel wall can be easily obtained with lest generation stent.
