    Cardiac amyloidosis (CA) is an infiltrative disease caused by myocardial deposition of amyloid fibrils. The most common subtypes of CA include ATTR (transthyretin amyloidosis) and AL (amyloid light chain), whose amyloidogenic precursors are genetically altered or senescent transthyretin and free light chains produced by a plasma cell clone.
