    Transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) of the mitral valve is an approved procedure for treating patients with severe primary or secondary mitral valve insufficiency who are considered high surgical risk for conventional surgical repair or replacement. Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a well-known and undesirable complication associated with increased morbidity and mortality after surgical and transcatheter interventions  .
