  • Targeting LDL Cholesterol Less Than 70 mg/dL After Ischemic Stroke of Atherosclerotic Origin Shows Benefit

    For patients with an ischemic stroke with evidence of atherosclerosis, a target low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) of less than 70 mg/dL reduces the risk of subsequent cardiovascular events, according to a study presented Monday at the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions in Philadelphia Dr. Pierre Amarenco, MD, of Paris University.
