When intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) is used for complete left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) sealing, the imaging modality shows a higher risk of pericardial effusion compared with transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), although the risk drops as operators gain more experience with ICE, according to a new registry analysis.
