    Benefits related to percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in chronic coronary total occlusion (CTO) may be driven by reduction in ischemic burden, according to new trial data showing patients with less residual ischemia after CTO PCI had lower rates of all-cause death and nonfatal myocardial infarction (MI).
