Patients Report Nearly as Many Symptoms from Placebo as from Statins, Study Shows
Patients really do feel side effects from statins, which can prompt them to stop taking the cholesterol-lowering medication. But a study presented Sunday at the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions 2020 virtual conference shows that patients experienced nearly as many symptoms while taking a placebo as they did while taking statins.
