Around one fifth of phenotypically “mild” hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) patients develop major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in 7 years, with older age, symptomatic development and steeper remodeling trajectories among the biggest risk factors, according to a new study of the Sarcomeric Human Cardiomyopathy Registry (SHaRe).
