    Paclitaxel-coated balloons or stents used in femoral or popliteal artery interventions were associated with increased risk of death beyond 1 year compared to percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) and/or bare metal stents (BMS), according to a systematic review and meta-analysis published Thursday, December 6, 2018, in the Journal of the American Heart Association.
