  • Optical Coherence Tomography Assessment of Morphological Characteristics in Suspected Coronary Artery Disease, but Angiographically Nonobstructive Lesions

    Highlights

    • Approximately 25% of insignificant lesions by CAG had abnormal findings by OCT, whether presenting with ACS or stable CAD.
    • Minimum lumen area and area stenosis were similar between ACS and stable patients.
    • Underlying plaque composition was also similar.

    Abstract

    Background/purpose

We sought to evaluate the morphological characteristics of nonobstructive coronary lesions in patients with ischemic symptoms and/or signs.
