    Lipoprotein(a) (Lp[a]) levels were strongly associated with myocardial infarction (MI) risk, especially in patients with low-attenuation plaque (LAP) derived from coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA), according to new data that suggest the presence of LAP “could reinforce the relationship between Lp(a) and future MI occurrence.”
